Folks, I don´t watch much (if any) TV these days - most of what´s up there I have either already watched or is just plain stupid. Instead, I roam the files of Youtube. Sometimes I dig up a video which I think is really worth viewing and for that matter, worth sharing! I just found an old 1927 silent movie called "Symphony Of A City", filmed in 1926 in Berlin, the year my dad was born. The film shows not only trains, busses, streetcars of those days, but allows us to catch a glimps on everyday life of the people. The film is just by chance about Berlin, but it could have been just any place in the western hemisphere! It´s a long film - 62 minutes, but I can only recommend to give yourself that hour and enjoy this video! <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wY5GdeqOkfc" width="425" height="350"></iframe> It is a sad thought, though, that none of the persons you´ll see in the film is alive today. It is also interesting to see, how much life there was before the introduction of TV, computers, smart phones and the Internet!
