With the whole Covid thning going on, I never even thought about Black Friday till I stopped at walmart on Wednesday and saw all the boxes of clothes and appliances bundled up to not be opened untill Black Friday and that got me thinking, are any hoppy stores or online sellers doing black friday?

MBclein has 10% off, but their website is so slow its almost unusable. Also what I wanted was out of stock.

Trainworld has 10% off orders over $100, but their stuff isnt priced as cheaply, and I dont need anything over $100.

Must have been a lot of people shopping. MB Klein is working fine right now. But there's nothing I really need.

Like I said in the Diner, Kadee put #500 trucks on sale for $6.00 a pair, and I bought $150.00 worth.

I know the price is not better than MB Klein normally has, but MB Klein never has 25 of them in stock.

Battle Foam is having a really good sale. If anyone wants custom-cut foam for storing valuables, they do good work. I have a few trays they cut for me for stowing modeling tools.

Brass Trains Dot Com did not start their annual winter sale today as expected.

If they do not have one this year, that will be very good for my wallet.

Walthers, 10% off ends Sunday.

Kadee added about ten more items to their Black Friday sale items list this morning.

I can't find that.  Was it only for Friday?

Here is link to the most recent sale I received: https://www.trainworld.com/index.php

I regularly see Trainworld sale ads, typically 10% off instock items or free shipping for orders over a certain amount.

Just to show you how bad it is out there, went to a mall near me I had never been to before (others are closer), it was dead and this was a sat after thanksgiving, looked like a monday before noon. Talked to a few clerks and they said before the virus that the place was rocking, now half if not more of the shops were gone and this is a two story modern mall. Those people who film dead malls for u-tube will have their hands full if this continues. By the way there were deals for those that ventured out.

Our local mall, the Edison Mall in Fort Myers, has been thriving since I moved here in 1982. Oh the hours I wasted there in High School.

This year has killed it. I drove by there on Friday, and it was dead.

Here is is Cyber-Monday, and Brass Trains Dot Com still has not begun their annual sale. I guess I will be keeping my money.

I spent over 4 hours yesterday looking through MBKlein's inventory and found only 4 items that I wanted. Their method of setting up their treasures leaves a LOT to be desired. If they would have spread the pics out to the edge of the pages it wouldn't take 1/4 the time to roam through. Anyway I have always just given them my credit card numbers and been on my way. Now you have to go through google to make a payment, and give them all your card info. That's not going to happen, so I just closed it out and will most likely never look there again. It's sad because I always got good sevice from them before.

I wonder when that changed. I placed an order a few months ago and did not have to deal with that.

I have had more than my share of other problems with MB Klein this year.

I placed an order with them yesterday and the checkout was the same as it always has been.  I suspect your problem was with Chrome settings and not the website.

That sounds like Chrome's autofill function for credit cards.

If you have an Android phone, they already know at least one of your cards anyhow. Plus, there is more of a chance that a waitress holding your physical card in your hand will steal your card number than someone capturing it from your computer.

I use Firefox for my browser. This was apparently a fairly new development. The last order I had with them they just took my cc without going through another source.

I didn't buy anything on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I already paid for my Kato  NYC 20th Century Limited train set within that timeframe Sunday.

Same here.  I've made recent purchases from MBK and checkout was the same it has been for a years.

I didn't get any super amazing deals but ScaleTrains got in a stealth order of SP and D&RGW SD40T-2's in as-delivered configuration, and they were "on-sale" to-boot.  The DCC/Sound versoin was $25 off and the DCC ready were $20 off so I got one of each D&RGW.  I say stealth order because these were never pre-announced and available for pre-order; they just suddenly showed up and my wallet is not happy.

My monthly budget more than blown because I had also hunted down the now discontinued Peco code 83 electrofrog #6 turnouts and bought ten.  I had been planning on spreading out the purchase of those over the winter months but suddenly the were discontinued and hard to find.
