Memories of the Lake District is the title of a diorama--well, Noch basically sent Kathy Millatt everything they make and a photograph of a real-life scene they wanted recreated. It's a grassy area, with a stream flowing through it and narrow guage train.
It's a good watch.
Kathy Millatt is a professonal modeler, who if you don't know her, was one of the judges of the British TV show that pitted three teams for three days with the goal of making the best layout and moving forward in the competition.
No doubt Noch wanted to showcase their new Gras Master 3.0. It runs off a 9v battery and so it is light. Kathy used a 2 mm grass as a base for her field, and that sucker looked like a lawn. Not a blade out of place.
(Looks at his mosquito-swatter-strainer thingy....)

I may be easily impressed, but I didn't even get beyond watching her carve EPS with that Foam Factory hotwire tool set before looking it up...

And I thought I had seen lost-foam patterns worked with a hot-wire tool... I had no idea...

I know right. I figured couldn't justify the expense, but for $20...

Hey Chip,
Thanks for sharing the video. Kathy is an artist for sure! I have a similar scene planned on my layout. I am daunted by the prospect of emulating her work, but I think that the effort required would be well worth it. However, I know that it will take me weeks as opposed to days to pull it off, or at least get something even half as good.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
