Mainline Modeler 2004 Magazine Needed
Posted by FRRYKid on Thursday, August 6, 2020 12:56 AM

I am in need of help from my Forum friends again. I'm trying to locate a couple of old Mainline Modeler issues. I'm looking for May and June 2004. I've found the May issue but I can't find the June issue. I seem to remember coming across a company that carries a lot of those old issues. I just can't remember the exact name of the company. In the alternative, I'm looking for the articles on the SP&S bulkheads. As usual, any assistance that can be provided would be most welcomed.

Someone mentioned in passing recently that one of the railroad historical societies has placed the entire Mainline Modeler back issues on their website.

But I can't recall which one!  And maybe it is member only access.  I will try to find out

Check TrainLife.  They have an archive of some of the defunct modeling magazines although I don't know if Mainline Modeler is one of them.

The C&O Historical Society has placed the entire run of "Mainline Modeler", including the very elusive first issue on CD, which is for sale to non-members and members alike.

I believe the company was called RailPub.  They have closed down, I think the owner retired.

Unless I missed something, the only place I find that issue is in a lot of 4 others that I don't need.

Yep, that was the listing. I figured that I would mention it in case you were desperate to find the June issue.

A large selection of "Model Railroading" magazines are available to read for FREE at www.trainlife.com.  On the heading on the home page, look toward the right where it says LEARN.  Click on LEARN and the drop down list contains the word Magazines which will take you to a page listing the titles of the magazines available.  Enjoy seeing what you missed!

Unfortunately, Mainline Modeler is not one of the listed maganizes.

All I need is the article on the SP&S bulkheads from each of the referenced issues.

Then you should change the title of the thread to be much more specific and catch the attention of a subscriber to that specific magazine.

I found and purchased the May issue but I still need the June issue or at least the pages that contain the referenced SP&S bulkhead article.
