Decal Sheet
Posted by RailEagle on Friday, June 26, 2020 7:02 PM

I recently ordered an N-scale Mircoscale Decal sheet and noticed some weird things about it. First it has a very dry feel to it. It also has what looks like DECAF printed on the back in red letters (Photo: https://share.icloud.com/photos/0pMwFqHDCbltsDl5nvAGRgEew#San_Diego_-_Morena ). Lastly, it came in N scale packaging and appears to be N-scale but had 87 for HO in the product code. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar problems and if you would recommend returning it.

The "DECAF" is actually a truncated product ID for the decalpaper. It was just cut in a weird place so you do not have all the letters.

87-XXXX for a part number on the packaging denotes HO scale. 60-XXXX is N scale. I think most decals have 87-XXXX on the actual decal paper because they only have one artwork master.

Perhaps you could compare the size of one of the decals to the place where they will be put. If you have HO scale decals they will probably be way too big.

You can also call them to verify what you have:
