Given that the only option on the market (besides from second hand retailers)for this locomotive right now is Kato any idea when Athearn will do another run of this iconic Amtrak locomotive?
Athearn had a post online that said they had some supprises in store for Amtrak modelers latter in 2020. I am guessing some fresh P42's in the current paint schemes. With Walthers doing some Amtrak coaches and F40ph's, it makes sense that Athearn would do a fresh run of the P42's. Keep in mind that the P42's are starting to be retired and replaced by the new Charger series engines. I believe Bachmann has announced a run of those coming soon. Mike the Aspie
