Who are you rooting for in the playoffs this weekend?
Posted by n2mopac on Saturday, January 8, 2005 4:59 PM
I just thought a little football talk would be fun. Personally I am rooting for the Rams first and foremost since my hometown KC Chiefs sucked eggs this season. My other NFC pick this weekend would be the Packers. In the AFC I am rooting for the Chargers (go Marty) and the Colts. But then, last post-season, every team I rooted for lost that game. Go figure.[banghead][banghead][banghead]

Hey Ron, based on your track record, please switch your vote for the Jets. [:D]

Die hard Charger fan, but probable will be trainin' in the garage with the radio on, and I can run into the house if I need to see a play.

Good poll !

Die Hard Packers Fan. Rams won tonight so N2mopac should be happy. If the packers can win sunday and agains't the falcons the Rams should be an easy win but the Eagles are going to be trouble. Anyways" GO PACKERS!!

I'm cheering for the Vikings, but it looks like their falling apart. I'm not super concerned since I live in Canada but our season ended long ago, so I GOTTA HAVE SOME FOOTBALL!

I'm not a football fan, so I didn't vote.

It is not entirely off topic as had the Rams managed to sneak homefield advantage this weekend, the the "World's Greatest Train Show on Tour" would have had to share the America Center / Edward Jones Dome comples with a playoff game.

Bring on Philly!!!

Now, if we could get a playoff system in college football, I would have a lot of input on
this subject. Dave

P.S. I did vote for the Packers... I've always been a Farve fan, even at Southern Miss.

It's been a long sad season for a 49er fan. I'll go with Brett Favre then.

Since I live in Minnesota, and "NONE OF THE ABOVE" was not an option, I voted for the Vi-queens. Frankly their chances are similar to that "snowball", in " you know where".

I expect to see my neighbor across the street, who still proudly flys the purple and gold from his flagpole, crying in his beer 18 hours from now.

In my opinion, playoffs only take place in October and June. Unfortunately june will be very quiet this year.

Go Red Sox!!!!

So after two great playoff games tonight. One in overtime that was one by the jets after the chargers missed a feild goal and another game that was one catch away from overtime. It is the the Rams and the Jets moving on. My predictions for tomorrow are Colts on top of the Bronco's (Mannings looking good) and Packers on top of the Vikings.

Since my hometown team (Balto. Ravens) didn't make the grade, my next choice would be Green Bay - they are from Wisconsin, the Model Railroading State![:D]

I voted with the majority on this topic. My favorite team the New Fallujah Griffins have not made the playoffs in about five years.

Go Packers! ! !

Sorry Tim. It looks like I should have. It also looks like I'm batting .500 this weekend (a big improvement over last post-season). Rams win (albeit barely), Chargers lose (Sorry Tim), Indy pulls out a big blow out, Packers are still playing but losing sorely at the half. A bitter-sweet weekend.

Thanks Ed. You win some and you lose some, and most of the time when you least expect it. Just wait til next week!!!! [swg]

The Vikings winning the Super Bowl, is about as likely as the Red Sox winning World Series. Oh wait, they did!!!!![:D]

I hear that Mientkiewicz has the ball from the final out locked up in a safety deposit box, and the league is on his side.

Big Girl is in the other room discussing the game with her sister the Packer fan. It is almost as entertaining as the game.

Favre had an off day all humans have them. To bad it was an important game that they should have won. Though on an up side the Packers defense looked better than they have all season.

Alright with my team gone, Chargers, I need a new team. Predictions for upcoming week, Steelers, Patriots (best game), Eagles, and who cares. I also think Steelers, Pats, Colts, could all beat Eagles in Superbowl.

And who thinks Marty cost the Chargers the game like I do. He walked on the field and got penalized, so Jets got the ball on Charger 35, of course they scored. On to call 4 straight running plays instead of a screen or end around, if the Chargers had gained another 10 yards, maybe they would be going to Pittsburgh.

Well, I am an old Marty fan from his Chiefs days, but now as then, he does tend to clam up into his conservative play-calling shell at the worst times. This is simply one more example.

OK, folks, this has been fun, so I'm adding a second poll for week two now.
