Good Morning!

Thank goodness I don´t have to drive to work today (or any day) - it´s so foggy you cannot see your own hand held right in front of your eyes! I wonder where all that moisture comes from - it has been quite dry the last week. OTOH, we never had such a beautiful November 1st like yesterday was in decades!

No plans for the day other then the usual beginning of the month banking issues, but that will have to wait until the fog clears. I don´t do banking via the Internet. I still the risk of having my account corrupted is too high and for the few things I have to actually do is going to the bank once or twice a month not a big thing.

Johnboy - the big wheel you saw in the cab of that railcar was not a brake wheel, but the rheostat controlling the speed. The brake is the handle close to the window on the right. In Switzerland, trains whistle only when approaching unprotected grade crossings and there are hardly any along that line.

Our friend Galaxy did not come into the diner yesterday - I hope things are OK with him!

Have a great day!
