I plan on buying a copy of the 2010-2019 issues of Model Railroader Magazine on DVD that is coming out in a couple of months. Does anyone know if the magazine has any plans to digitize and offer older back issues in the same way? I'd love to have the entire run of the magazine on DVD.
I am absolutely buying the 2010-2019 DVD, and I hope all the previous decades are available soon.

Kalmbach released the first 75 years (1934-2009) of MR on DVD in 2010(?) AFIAK, it's no longer for sale but you may be able to find it on places like eBay.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
Yeah, it sold like ice in the arctic. Probably because of the price, but it was really like pennies an issue. It's just that 75 years' worth is a lot of issues. Fascinating reading about the early days of the hobby, and the effects of WWII and how modelers managed to make do for the duration.
Didn't help that not long after it was released, Apple hosed up the embedded Adobe reader component by not allowing it to run on newer verions of OSX. Luckily I use Windows and it still works perfectly fine on Windows 10.
I'm hoping they do an updated set of Classic Trains as well. I have the one that was already released, which is the first 10 years or so.

I see this still isn't available. I read the description on the kalmbachhobbystore.com and it says nothing about being able to print. I wonder if that will be an option.
Pretty sure it's going to be just like the 10 year Classic Trains, more or less an updated version of the original 75 Year DVD with a newer version of the Adobe module that will work with OSX.
I would stake money that you can print, just liek you cna print from the two previous releases.
Expected ship date when I ordered was not until 3/31, so there are still a few weeks to go.
I suspect after they do the last 10 years as a DVD and sell the run, then access will resolve to the online Archive, which seems to be the case with the first 75 years DVD.
I was actually surpised to see the new DVD offered. If it's not showing in the Store, be patient it will be along shortly.
Since most of the rest of the world is going to a subscription-based online model vs the old purchase-of-physical-media model, it's possible that another 10 years in the future will only be online. My current computer doesn't have a DVD drive in any case and that's a trend in hardware that will eventually take physical media off the market that is almost wholly beyiond Kalmbach's control.
Enjoy!...while it lasts
