After a long hiatus from the site I am once again needing advice as I just tore down my 18x18 garage layout due to a senior move into a rented 2 car garage villa. After 55 years of home ownership I am through with the headaches of ownership. In coming back to the site I have tried many times to use the search the community feature of the site only to have it give me a reply of nothing in the search. Is there a better search feature that I should know of? Thanks

Bob D As long as you surface as many times as you dive you`ll be alive to read these posts.
Unfortunately, the search function isn´t working at all. Use any other search engine and add the words "Model Railroader" or "MRR" to your search.
Our host Kalmbach has announced an upgrade to the forum software for early this year, so that might solve the issue for the future.
Happy times!

add site: cs.trains to your search. Forum software is said to be upgraded later this year. Developments in software standards and web design have left this site behind.

BigDaddyadd site: cs.trains to your search.
.
Also, if you recall the orginal poster, or even a responder, add their handle.
So, for example, search "cs.trains seeyou190 paint booth" on google, and you will easily find the article I wrote.

Living the dream.
The search function is poor at best. I try and remember a phrase from a post and type that in, I have better results doing that.
Good luck.

I read a post today about someone's grandfather writing a ticket on Amelia Earhardt, was that on this forum? I just saw a video that showed her car on the TSG Multimedia youtube channel.
I hope that Kalmbach doesn't follow most web forums. If you check around, many forums now use Facebook, Disqus, Twitter, or some other web service for their forum comments. I don't like them.
For all the issues with this site's forums, Kalmbach's comment sections are 100% better than those other systems. (In my opinion.)
