Driveline universals

Need some help picking the right universal from NWSL. Most of my motor shafts are 1.83 mm, gear shafts are mostly 2.23 mm. They stock 1.5, 2, 2.4 mm and more larger ones. Should I just buy one size larger and put a set screw in? Will the 1.5mm press fit on 1.83mm?

Buy the closest size smaller than the shaft then slightly enlarge the hole but it needs to be a press fit.  I do that all the time.

1.98mm is 5/64". 2.38mm is 3/32".

.

Can you measure the shafts in 0.001" by any chance?

.

In this case, I believe you are looking at fractional inch size shafts. NWSL does offer fractional inch sized universals.
