I'm looking for help in locating wheelsets for the lead truck of an old New One HO 4-6-0 L6 CNJ camelback. I'm trying to match the prototype's 36 in. wheels. The models all have unprototypical 33 in wheels.
On the prototype locos, there was no external truck frame and photos and plans of the prototype show "nubs" that protrude from the face of the wheel disk but not stub axles.
On eBay, I see NorthWest Short Line #7608-4 Finescale 36" wheelset, but they have axle stubs protruding for trucks with straight bore journals.
Is anyone aware of a source for 36" wheelsets for the prototype's internal truck frame?
Of course, I suppose I could use a cutoff wheel or grinder to modify the NWSL wheelsets but if models of the actual protype wheels could be found, that would be preferable,
Thanks,
Ed

You could try Greenway Products:

I would suggest contacting them to be sure of what they have listed is actually in stock.

Good Luck, Ed
the New One didn't follow the prototype that closely, it was a 'kinda close' effort .. the difference between 33 inch and 36 inch at HO scale is only 0.034 ...
i do have a few New One steam die cast locos ..
GM -- Cool. Those look great. I will have to go back and check the wheelbase.
Thanks!
I too have a few and hoping to piece together from their parts, one or two good units. As I'm sure you're quite familiar, the cast zinc metal just deteriorated with zinc rot. Also, I intend to re-motor them. Have you done so with yours?

Even if the wheelbase is different, the wheel sets alone are worth the cost.
