Good Morning! Our weather seems to be back to normal. It has cooled off considerably, in fact, it is a little cold right now. Ray - that was certainly a lot more than just a hair raising moment. You must have a quite active guardian angel! 20 years ago I went through a similar incident while barrelling down the motorway. I heard it on the radio that a car was coming down the wrong way and while I was pulling over to the right lane, I heard a tremendous bang and went unconscious. While I escaped more or less unhurt, the other driver did not make it. Well, back to today´s tour. Let´s take a standard gauge train for a change! The place is the so called Sauschwänzlebahn, or Pigtail line. A looke at a map reveals why the line was dubbed this way: <img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c7/Karte_wutachtalbahn.png" alt=" " /> (Picture by Sansculotte) The line was built for strategic reasons, connecting the west with the east in the southernmost part of Germany without having to cross through Switzerland at Schaffhausen.
