BLI GG1 Locomotives
Posted by jspinner on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 10:11 AM
Hello,

With two motors, this locomotive should be able to pull a lot cars. Any reviews on this unit.

Thanks

My friend, Cmarchand has a BLI GG1 in the Brunswick Green scheme. . He's planning on getting another GG1 in Penn Central. ( Oops! Don't tell the "Anti-PC" crowd!)

His GG1 pulls a long train smoothly with little effort! Runs and sounds even better in DCC mode. The sound resonates exceptionally well thanks to the metal body. The only change he made were the headlights. Replaced them with Gold White LEDs which look more realistic than the headlights it comes with.

IMHO, Pennsy fans would likely be very pleased!

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

Got one, runs great, sounds great. Pulls a decent train of heavy old Walthers cars with questionable trucks, too. If you're a PRR fan, get one, for sure. Can't beat it at the closeout price they're going for lately, not a whole lot more than the AHC ones sell for and the BLI is light years beyond it, better motors, even nicer detailing, and SOUND.
