After 25 years, it's the end of the line for the CP Rail Manitoba & Minnesota Sub. layout. We will be moving in a year or two (downsizing, now that the kids are gone). I'm in the process of dismantling the layout this summer, and will post about taking it down on my blog--starting with the final run.

Hello All,
So sorry to hear!
Happy travels down the rails of life.
Hope this helps.
"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
John,
Sorry to hear the sad news. It's really a great looking layout and I'm sure that you put a lot of yourself into it. Hopefully the planning stage for the next layout project will help ease the pain somewhat. I know when my last long time layout came down and my new space required a change to a smaller scale, it brought with it the opportunity to do something different and sparked some new excitement. I hope the same happens to you. In the meantime thanks for keeping up blog, it's really enjoyable to read.
Ralph
Thank you very much for having shared your layout with us over the years. Beautiful work of art that had to be very enjoyable to operate. The photos on your website, alone, are excellent reference-resources for those of us working to improve the appearance of out layouts.
I always enjoyed seeing photos of your "Red Barns" (or as some of us "Yanks" call them..."Draper Tapers" and "Canadian Taper Cabs" ) in action.
Looking forward to seeing shots (and videos?) of your new layout.
"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"
