Athearn HO NASA SW 1500 switcher

I have the above model as NASA #2,the model does not appear in the Athearn guide book,or my one,anyway.

Anybody tell me about the model?

It has Kennedy Space centre printed on the price tag-was it only available there?

There were 3 numbers, 1,2 & 3.  They were announced Nov 2010  I would imagine to be ecomically feasible to produce, they had to be generally available.

I have the #2 but,I removed NASA and the number.. Its will be SCR #135. SCR #110 (SW8) will be stored servicable due to its age so,SCR will have two SW1500 #135 and 138. The 138 was rebuilt last year so,she has several more years of service.
