Can a Model Power E8 shell fit on a Proto 2000 E8 chassis and vice versa

Hi all, it's a swap job. I want to put the mp e8 shell on the proto e8 chassis and then put the proto e8 shell on the mp chassis to use as a dummy.  Anyone have experience with this, how well they fit?  Thank you.  Rob.

The Model Power shell will drop on a Proto frame, the Model Power frame needs trimming for the Proto shell to fit but will need the fuel tank sides added to the frame.  The Model Power frame has the fuel tank sides as part of the frame, the fuel tank sides are part of the shell on the Proto.  The Model Power frame is about 1/16” longer than the Proto.

EDIT:

Sorry, my description isn't very clear.  The Model Power shell doesn't have the fuel tank sides and the Proto does.  As a pair of Kitbashes it will work but not a simple drop on.
