I need color photos

I'm modeling the NYC, transition era and I'm looking for color photos to aid me in doing scenery [especially pictures of mainline ballast and fright yards] . I'd prefer an online source if possible. Any suggestions?

willist,

I'm modeling the NYC myself. Try this link: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/

Good pics in both B&W and color. It shows more trains and structures, but hopefully you can find some information on ballast.

How big's your layout (or proposed layout)? Are you modeling anywhere in particular?

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.

Thanks for your reply. My layout is around the room shelf layout. Its 11"X 12"X11"X 12" and its 2' wide. All the benchwork was finished the Monday after Xmas. I have about a 1/3 of the track laid. I'm trying to fini***he mainline first so I can run some trains . Tomorrow I plan on finishing the main freight yard and a few more feet of the mainline. I haven't lived in NY since 1963 so my memory of NY RRs isn't too good.
