Hi everyone,
Back in October, I posted about my intention to replicate downtown Truckee, CA for a little layout under our Christmas tree. Many folks chimed in with excellent advice, and after three months of cutting, gluing, and painting, I completed the project in time for Christmas.
I just wanted to share my work with the community here, since everyone was so helpful. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Oh, very good! I am working on a similar feel to that very strip in Truckee, in my Stanford and Truckee layout. (First structure in last weekend's WPF.)
Hotel Rex: iconic!

Probably he did, after right clicking on the pic and copying image location
OP you have direct access to share links on Imgur at the top right hand corner of the pic. (although in some views it's directly to the right of the picture) If you copy the BB link, you can paste that directly in your text without using any of the icons.

A very nice Christmas layout!
The album first mentioned has a lot more photos of the process, and discussion. It's worth a visit.

Living the dream.
Sweet! Very nice work. I spent five summers working for the Forest Service in Truckee during the late 'fifties and early 'sixties when I was in college. Love that area and still visit when I can. You captured those buildings very well--now all you need is an AC-6 Cab-Forward roaring through town with a reefer block in tow. Tom
