Jan Issue - "Bonus Model Railroader First Issue"
Posted by BuchananBucks on Thursday, December 20, 2018 2:22 PM

Hi all,

Was I wrong to think that a copy of the first issue was in the January mag? I must have missed the fine print   ;0)

It's a banner headline on the cover, but it is the plastic bag enclosed issues sold on newsstands that have the reproduction of Vol 1, No. 1.

My subscription lapsed a couple of months ago, so I bought my January issue in a Hobby Shop.

.

I have my issue #1 in hard copy.

And if you have an Archive subscription, you've had the first issue all along.

Well, sometimes.  The only way I've been able to get in is BEFORE I log in.  CS told me it has been opened up to all, because of all the problems they are having.

It doesn't always last long, after a couple of issues, you start to get the "torn page" sysmbol, and then it's gone.

Good luck!

The link that Henry and M Makato provided is the best way.

Mike.

I dropped the archive subscription a while back, as I still have the old 75 Year DVD collection, and since I don't use a Mac, it still works on even my newest computer. So I can access any issue from 2007 and older with no problem. I've had a digital subscription for nearly that long, so most any newer issue I also already have in electronic format. No real use for the online archive but for a few issues, which happen to be ones I didn;t throw out when I got rid of all the paper magazines I no longer needed.
