BLI E7 Question???
Posted by Meyblc on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 7:13 PM
I am in the process of converting my layout from DC to DCC. I have already moved the jumpers on my Atlas GP38's so that the decoder will work with DCC. My question is about my Boston & Maine E7. Do I need to move any jumpers on the decoder or is it "auto sensing"? The booklet that came with the BLI E7 doesn't mention anything about touching the decoder in any way.

BLI decoders are auto-sensing, so you should not have to do anything to it.

I agree with Cacole. I've not had to change any jumpers on my BLIs, including my E7.

She's beautiful and ready to roll as is. Just change the Loco address like you want and that's it. I have two L&N's and 1 GM&O and really have enjoyed running them.

You'll be happy with them.

Only the atlas daul mode decoder requires that you manually change the jumper for the switch between dc and dcc, there is however a black jumper on the qsi decoder it is for factory reset if you encounter any problems with your E7.I also run a pair of C&O's E's and enjoy them greatly.Good Luck Terry.
