Sometimes the two official languages rules get taken a bit far. I don't have a problem with everything being labeled in French and English, but when the two names are spelled exactly the same in both languages I just don't see why there has to be both names on the label.

Try Europe - products sold in the EU are labeled in German, French, English, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish ...

Canadian National / Canadien National.... I worked for them for 20 years and never had to speak French. It would have been good if I could when I traveled to Montreal, however. ..... (Funny story follows) In the Montreal area, I noticed several highway signs pointing to a city not on my map. Eventually, I learned "Centreville" is not a city. It means "Downtown" as in downtown Montreal. ....

Mornin'....... Yep, still morning here in the Finger Lakes. Cut my walk a bit short this morning as I have a host of month end stuff to get done. One of the big ones was to get my Volt in for NYS Inspection. I figured out when I was showering this morning that I haven't gotten that done yet. That could be expensive if the wrong Police officer should stop my car... So I just called the Chevy Dealer and they will get me in at 2:30 this afternoon. Like that dealer better and better!
I think we have enough easterners here in the diner to get lots of photos and stuff for PA without having a formal host from there. I have lots of photos from my last couple trips to Steamtown that I will find and share. I am all in favor of having Steven open the doors for us. We could even take a short excursion up into the Southern Tier of NYS.....
Neighbor had some trouble putting up the Christmas Display yesterday....

Don´t get me wrong, guys - I am glad when young Steven moves the diner to the chosen December location. It just doesn´t make sense to select a location if no one takes the reigns and acts as a tour guide. We might go back to moving it just to a different track, like we did a few years ago.
Ulrich I'm actually a Yankee by birth (born in Jersey but a resident of New York) we moved away when I was 2 but moved back to Jersey when I was like 6.
I'm sure some people more local to Pennsylvania can and will help out too.

I hosted the "October Fall in New England" Diner and helped Brent by opening this month's.
IF no one objects, I could host the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Diner. I'm an Ohio Buckeye but no stranger to Eastern Pennsylvania. We have actually been to PA maybe three times in the last year-and-a-half or so.
I actually would like to explore more of the "Hard Coal Region" so if no one has any objection and if I'm not "hogging the reins" I'd be glad to host our visit to Bethlehem.
Strasburg, is nearby, undoubtedly one of the day-trips we will certainly want to sign up for.

That's a great one Ray. Reminds me of Chevy Chase on the Griswald Christmas when he Staples his glove to the house and then flips the ladder back and the bounces off the tree back to the house. Then the ladder clicks and Kaleidoscopes down to the ground. I always bust a gut on that one.

Did a lot of running today with high hopes of working on the layout Well I tried to?
Train Front Seems I need a new Atlas Turnout. I installed this turnout say 10 years ago and it had not been a problem. Now if a engine is going strainght through the turnout it will stall? If the turnout is thrown, work's great? Soon as the RS2 or SD7 hits the frog, they stop. Even the longer Erie Bulit die at the frog? Frog is not powered and never was.
Picked my car today and it is nices to have quite brakes again.
Local Deli Stopped by a Deli called Conways Catering here in Maryville IL. Sandwiches where $5.00 each for carry out. Bill came to $11.75 and did not think about it then and paid the bill. Now I am Tax rater here in Maryville is 6% so where the heck did the extra $1.15 come from? If they added a tip for carry out I will cancell the CC payment!

Reminds me of my neighbor across the street, Mike, who said I come home from work and enjoy my Christmas lights on my own house for a whole 35 seconds. I was in a local restaurant where I was charged extra for an imported beer. I questioned the wait-person about the charge on my tab and explained to her that I had a Frankenmuth Beer.
She told me to look on the label, "See, that writing looks foreign to me".

Ken, I imagine one of the jumpers molded into the switch has come loose (cooling and heating of the track could certainly do this ) they are only tacked to the bottoms of the rail before the ties get molded.

The truck had one job, drive around the ice a few times... and it failed at it.
My truck is going to cost me near 700 bucks to fix, turns out it's the timing cover gasket, I'll be getting a new thermostat and timing chain too.
