Latest News from Athearn
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 5:18 PM
Just received the following e-mail news from Athearn. The links to photos are interesting, showing the inside of their plant. Note these photos are farily large, and may take some time to download if you have a slow Internet connection.

Enjoy! [:D]

============================================

Greetings,

One of our most important tasks right now is planning for 2005 kit
production. Kits are still being manufactured at our Carson, California
facility and next year we plan to have a full slate of models in
production.
We will be posting next years schedule on the Athearn News as soon as it
is finalized. Currently we have plans in place through August of next
year of our famous Blue Box rolling stock kits. As soon as we finalize
further plans, we will issue a schedule for September through December.

We would like to close this issue of the Athearn News with some snap
shots that we recently took in our Carson Facility.

As you can see, production is in full swing in California. There is a
lot of Athearn product currently in stock with new items being made or
received almost every day.

Wishing you Happy Holidays and a Joyous and Prosperous New Year

Finally, some news to get excited about. Are those DCC boards on top of the locomotives? I wonder why there is an open Genesis box there. Maybe they are testing Genesis locomotives there (that would explain both questions).
