Device allows QSI Quantum sound system effects to be activated on DC layouts. Read the full story on MR Express: http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/005/635tzuob.asp

What a great thing for those who have not or do not plan on switching to dcc but yet like to run the newer sound equipped qsi locos.Atlas has allways been a leader in this industury and it;'s good to see there still thinking about dc users and finding ways to offer them more features.Just another reason why atlas remains at the top of so many lists when modelers speak of quality. I wonder if the BLI device would also work? If it does not work then you could end up with a sound control for every maker that comes out with a Quantum equiped engine. WIll be intresting to see what the price differance is.

This appears to be only for the very latest QSI sound systems, in fact it says on the Atlas page that it is not for older QS decoders. Broadway has their own simpler device called the Sidekick for the older QSI locos.
