up831 - I use WinRail 8.0 for my drawings, a 10+ year old track planning program I bought many moons ago. Atlas used to have it as a free download, limited to Atlas track, of course. That program allows you not only to draw track plans, but you can "assemble" various shapes in different colors, giving you what I think are quite nice renditions of track plans. I do a little touch-up work with MSPaint.
