I know that the SPSF isn’t the most original protolance. But I thought that doing a “patched” SPSF Locomotive would be a unique take. I am about a quarter of the way done I have put SPSF on one side and have to put on the numbers and other SPSF. I am using Microscale Decals 87-496 and a Bachman GP40 with Testors Decal Solution. I used an Alcohol Wipe and protractor to get of the original lettering. I will provide updates in the coming days as I do more.

I'll say that's the first SPSF paint scheme that didn't make me have to go for my cutting torch goggles! Far more attractive than Kodachrome, IMHO. Dan

Thanks. I have now updated one of the front number boards completely, added an AC unit, started on the other numbe boards, and finished the cab number. I also added some photos.
I love the original SPSF Kodachrome. There's even a new all color book coming out that is devoted to it. To each his own.
