MR Video Plus Login Problems?
Posted by mloik on Monday, August 13, 2018 6:50 PM

Hello all,

Is anyone besides me having a problem logging in to MRVP?  I am getting messages that the site is not secure.

Many thanks,

Michael Loik

Firefox gives me the message that the site is not secure.  The site still works, I'm using a different password than I use for financial websites.  If the Ruskies are tracking what MVRP videos I am watching, I am willing to take the risk.

I could be wrong, but I think it has to be an Https: site to be considered secure.

Yes, and it has to have a more recent type of cert for it to be considered 'secure'. I dislike that web browsers are making the decision for me, it's just not important that a site be secure if I am not transacting personal information.

But, given the sheer number of "average joes" who click on fake emails and end up becoming part of a bigger and bigger spam botnet, I guess something has to be done.

In Chrome at least you can chose to continue anyway - it's perfectly fine, MRVP is is a safe website.

FireFox seems to be very picky about security.  So much so that I've stopped using it.  I don't need a web browser constantly hassling me!  Chrome works just fine.
