Looking to buy European trains.
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 27, 2004 10:38 AM
I am interested in finding modelers who may have HO scale European trains or items for sale. I am interested in steam giants from the 40's-60's and modern day electrics and diesels specifically from the DB(German Railways). Also looking for add on cars for TGV's of the French railways. Also would like to meet other European train modelers and possibly even see layouts or pics or just chat....

A site you need to check out is http://www.reynaulds.com They sell add on cars for TGV's as well as the TGV sets themselves. German, Italian, and some Spani***rains are featuered from most of the European manufacturers.

Another great site for cheap locos (if you want something British) is Hattons http://www.ehattons.com

I model both British and North American models

Also you may want to try www.tee-usa They have some great products from several of the major european manufacturers. Ebay can be a great place to buy. One of the nice things about e-bay is that they have alot of items for sale that are no longer in production. I recommend going to the ebay home page/s of the countries that have the trains you are looking for.

Email me offline. I have a potload of European stuff that I was going to Ebay. I have several steamers (Roco, Fleischmann and a couple of Liliputs), some passenger cars appropriate for the era and some freight cars (including a complete 8 piece freight set appropriate for the 50s/60's).

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Blue Tiger. Perhaps you are familiar with this engine anyway it is a great engine and I had the opportunity to see it in Germany. It is a truly massive and great looking machine. I am planning on buying one from tee-usa. Just thought I would mention it.
