I bought a Bowser s2 a bit ago. It is dcc ready. How do you get the shell off? I cant seem to find info on how do do that.

Is it possible that it's a Proto 2000 or Atlas S2??? I don't recollect Bowser/Stewart ever making an S2.
If it is a Proto 2000, try removing the draft gear boxes and/or couplers. The shell should come right off. That should hold true for an Atlas S2, as well.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
It is a Bowser DS 4-4-1000 had a lapse of memory still need to get the shell off.
If the draft gear (coupler) boxes are already off, pry out from the shell with your fingernails between the shell and the chassis. If you don't have fingernails then try using tapered toothpicks in the same spots. The fit is slightly snug but should come off with some mild coaxing.
I haven't taken mine apart in years - but isn't it sort of the other way, you need to pinch in on the hood as the catches are inside the frame that is just below the plastic walkway? I knoow they are nooot the easiest things to take apart. The hood and cab are seperate pieces. And the handrails have to be disconnected from the cab.
