Walthers' Ford Stamping plant kit: need wall splice pieces #9?
Posted by caboose63 on Friday, April 20, 2018 9:52 PM

I was looking at my Walthers Ford stamping plant kit which i have not assembled yet. Was curious about wall splices parts #9 and #47. Do i need them to building the kit? I test fitted the walls and place them on the foundation part #1 and it seems fine. When i actually build the kit, I will used some evergreen styrene on the inside to connect the walls and give them strength.

Hi,

Many Walthers kits have the option of extending them by combining two or more kits. The splice piece you speak of is probably intended for this purpose.

I looked at Walthers site but they only have a footprint available and not the full instruction sheet. Was there any mention of it in the instructions?

Good Luck, Ed

Is this kit assembled with full-sized walls, or are the walls made up of small square sections which must be pieced together?  Walthers has discontinued the Cornerstone Modular series.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
