Steam- Union Pacific Big Boy. Nothing could ever match the sheer size and power, and speed these locomotives put out. I also like just about any 4-8-4. (UP 844, SP 4449, Cotton Belt 819, Milwuakee 261, N&W 611, etc.) <br /> <br />First Gen. Diesel- Has to be the ALCO PA/PB. <br /> <br />Modern Diesel- EMD FP45s and F45s.
