Mike,Could this be because Russ Larson is at the throttle of MR and has read the complaints and took action to improve the problem??? I did notice that the May issue was a vast improvement of MR of late.A very good sign indeed!

Recieved mine along with "Trains" on April 27 in Great Falls MT. Gotta be about the earliest ever. The recent changes seem to be working. My "Classic Trains" came today. Thanks to Kalmbach for the response to the problem. Ron H.

I received my MR (and Trains) yesterday, April 30th. It is always good to see something about Dave Rickaby's layout.
I am in Milwaukee Wisconsin so evidently local delivery is not first on the list of the printer (quad graphics in sussex -- near Duplainville a famous and popular railfan spot, where the CN crosses the CP (formerly the Soo Line crossed the Milwaukee Rd).
By the way from my own limited involvement in the magazine business some years ago -- the Editor in Chief has next to nothing to do with when an issue is published. The Managing Editor has much more involvement and frankly the printer has even more.

Hey Mike,

Hows about I use your address for my subscription and you forward the mag to me? I recieved my June issue today, thirteen days after it hit the streets here in beautiful downtown Portland OR.

There must be a lot of mailmen between the press and Portland reading your magazine.

Hey! I got my June issue earlier than normal, too. The local newsagent has just put the May issue onto his shelves!
Pity the Brits can't be as quick with their Model Rail magazine (excellent production, though) - my April issue just arrived last week, too late as usual to take up any Specials for the month!
I know it's a long way to Oz, but it's only 22 hours by plane from the UK!
Love your Model Railroader magazine - great articles.

Both MR and RMC seem to arriving on the same day--around the 5th of the month in LA. Also I wanted to mention that the quality of the content in MR sure has improved over the past few months.
