Search option for forums?
Posted by RevRikHO on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 12:53 PM

Is there a search function in the forums section? If so how do I access and use it. Thanks!

Yup.

over on the right hand side, there's a vertical column of "stuff".  Aways down, one of the "stuffs" is titled "Search the Community".  That's where you enter a search term.

Thanks. I missed it. I stopped scrolling down when I saw all the ads.

Thanks again, appreciate your quick response.

It took me quite a while to find it, and I had to ask too.

google works pretty well if you include the term cs.trains.com

I have been here a few years and the search function seems to be the pits. I use Google like BigDaddy does. I might try a couple diffrent words but I get much better results with Google.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Yes, Google is what I use.  Sometimes, putting searches in  "" helps.  Book marking great forum questions also saves time.

Many are not aware that they can bookmark a discussion and have trouble finding the discussion as time moves on.
