Kato NW2 shell removal

I have had this NW2 since it's release, have always run it on DC on the old layout. I didn't convert mine to DCC when other members did during a clinic.
It was quite a few years ago and members don't really remember the specifics.
They were totally disassembled and the frames sent out to be milled for decoder clearance. I have since aquired one of the origional decodered units and want to switch shells. So far I have removed the couplers, fuel tank and the bronze pick-up strips. The body is still firmly attached somehow. I thought it would come apart as the older Katos by releasing the hood clips, however attempting to release the for door catches seems that I may damage the walkways, so what gives? I would appeciate any info that can help.

In my opinion the NW2 is designed to take a direct hit with a nuclear weapon and the shell will remain on. There is dimple molded on to the frame above each truck. It is about 1/4" wide. There is a corresponding hole in the shell and it is a very tight fit as you know. Kato has a procedure on their web site showing a guy who must have cast iron fingers rocking the body and pulling it off. I popped mine off with the judicious use of a screw driver. Once you get it off file down the dimples on the frame so you can remove it more easily. I removed mine completely.

Thanks for your help, prying in the right spot did the trick. I will file down those lugs before reassembly.
