The front page of this, showing a list of topics, scroll down a short way, and you'll find a thread on Plasticville buildings.
The last reply to it was July, 2011, but there it is, in the current line up,

Mike,
Mystery explained: A first-time poster posted to the 6-year old thread this morning. His query was what recommended glue to use for assembling a Bachman Plasticville water tower(?) kit he had. Seeing that it really needed to be a separate thread, I attempted to split the post from the original.
Well, the newbie's post completely disappeared and the 6-year old thread stayed up on pg. 1. In reality, it should have happend the other way around.
Anyhow, that's the rest of the story...and I'm sticking to it.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
OK Tom, thanks. Just wondering.
Okay, the missing thread has finally materialized on pg. 1...Go figure...

I (someone who has inadvertently reawakened an old thread from time to time) was wondering the same thing. I even wondered if the folks at Bachmann had slipped someone a little under-the-table money. In which case, let it be known that I will gladly accept cash in return for reviving old threads.

I think they call this "necroposting". Many years ago I got banned from another forum for inadvertently resurrecting an old thread :(

Some forums are more "reactive" when it comes to old thread replies. I'm not sure how the other guys feel about it but if new information arises on a previous topic I say by all means resurrect... this being said I have heard of "trolls" replying "bump" to old threads just to move them up... I saw one tread elsewhere about this old thread new reply on person whom I do not know said all threads over a month old should be deleted or locked and archived... Thats going to far!
Just use common sense when replying to more senior threads if you have a question that is close to the topic but not the same start a new thread, if you have new information regarding a topic then reply.

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
This was a NEW member posting to an old post. But remember, his post will not appear until it has been reviewed.
S first it was not there, just looked like a resurected nerco, but it showed up because the post to it was pending.
Once cleared, his post did appear in its proper place, and if you would have waited a day or so, you would never have noticed the difference.
BTW: did anybody him?

That happens because if a user is on moderation, if a previously approved post is edited, it goes back into the moderation queue. This is to keep spammers from posting an acceptable post, then editing it to add unacceptable content after it's approved.

Yes, Mondays I always have to scroll down a little further because there are always new threads from new users that show up in date order. Would be nice if it tagged them by date they actually appear, then they'd be at the top with all the other new posts.
