Bachmann Plasticville kits are usually pretty easy to assemble. Some of them are snap together kits but some need glue. Just don’t use too much glue. Wipe off the spout of the glue tube frequently with a napkin or paper towel so the glue doesn’t leave strings, or use the kind in a bottle with a brush. Try to apply the glue to the inside so it doesn't show on the outside.
Use a X acto knife to remove the parts from the spurs. Test fit the part before applying the glue.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.
