Pandrol e-Clips
Posted by richg1998 on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 3:21 PM

I am curious if any company is producing model railroad track with this system for securing rails to the ties?

The Pan Am Railway up grade with 1/4 mile long ribbon rail was recently done in my area. The flat cars with the rail and three locos were quite impressive. So was the installation of the new ties and rail.

I ride a rail trail next to the mainline and remember seeing stacks of new ties with these clips. I think it was around 133 to 136 lb rail. I have a photo of the label on the rail somewhere.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

This may help:

It is fascinating to watch modern track-laying techniques using Pandrol clips. In HO anyway, it looks to me like Micro-Engineering has one of the best looking molded in clip profiles. The Peco looks more like bolted clips.

Good Luck, Ed
