Good Afternoon! The weather did turn nice at noon, so it´s all bright and sunny, although the sun is slowly starting to disappear for the day. I checked the bay and I´d be able to cut the costs of the track by a little over 50%. Makes it more friendly to go down that route. I have a PWM controller I could use (that Marklin Z stuff runs on 10V DC) and also a 9V rechargable battery with sufficient amps to power the layout for at least 3 hours, including the switch motors and lights (LED´s). This would make me independant from an outlet ... I have also found a loco which I quite like. It´s a 2-6-2T class 64, one of those bread-and-butter branchline locos of the 130´s to 1960´s. But it´s a new release and therefore quite expensive - onlky 10% off MSRP so far. <img src="http://kieskemper.de/shop_bilder/maerklin/88740.jpg" alt=" " /> <img alt=" " /> The whole thing is just a notch over 2" long! Deutsche Reichsbahn as well as Deutsche Bundesbahn had plenty of them and powered  those typical branchlime mixed locals with them, so quite a suitable engine for the tiny layout. The correct cars are also available at the bay for little money (I keep telling myself tany amount below $ 20 is little). Let´s see how we will proceed.
