Did the George Sellios's Franklin & South Manchester RR first appear in the 1986 issue of MR magazine?

Welcome to the forum TJ.
Searching the Model Railroader Archives would I lead me to believe you’re correct, the April 1986 edition has an article titled, “Introducing the Franklin & South Manchester”.
There is a follow up article, April 1987.

Welcome to the forum, T. J.!

You may already have, or at least have heard of this, but George also has a book out, simply titled, The Fabulous Franklin & South Manchester Railroad, published by his (former) company, Fine Scale Mineatures, 1991. Don't know, but I doubt that it is still in print. Its a great pictorial of the layout, many great photos, all in color.

Hi TJ, and welcome!

If you look in the upper right corner of this page, you'll see a line of light gray type.

If you hover over the word Resources, a drop-down menu will appear.

Click on magazine index, and it will take you to an index of Model Railroader and many other railroad-related magazines. It's a quick way to search for stories in several places at once.
