Hey all. It;s that time of the week again: WPF. Weekend photo fun is where members show off our projects we are or have been working on during the week...any scale or gauge is welcome. Before I post my project, I just want to say, I hope this is able to give our members in the path of Irma some normalcy. Thoughts and prayers go out obviously
Okay, here's my project... I just finished up my seventh Ballast hopper...
I think I'm getting the hang of weathering. Note: This involved cutting the roof off, repainting and decaling. Let's see some good stuff.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
Jimmy, nice fleet, I know how you feel I think I have done 8 of my Anderson's Hoppers building them with Tichy Kits, and I still have 6 more to do, each car is very time consuming with all its parts.
Did a couple of covered hoppers this week!
Bowser 1958 CF ACF Covered Hopper Kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Herald King Decals. Car was originally built in 1950 and this is a 1977 Repaint, used for hauling sand from Michigan to the Ford Casting Plant in Brook Park, Ohio.
Tangent Dry-Flow unlettered car, found some Oddballs decals in Rock Island for it. No pictures to be found, used the decal diagram. Car originally built in 1962. It is very hard to find pictures of any of the Dry-Flow cars, seems people were more interested in taking pictures of engines and leaving the car histories behind.

More work on the scratch build, some details got shifted and air tanks added, but most of the recent work won't be visible in the power pickups. Making my own on the frame and using the proto tender pickups that was originally on what is now 9, it basicaly has all wheel pick up, excluding the front truck.

Jimmy, Thanks for firing up the WPF and showing your string of modified hoppers, keep up the dirty work.
Our thoughts and support are with those in harm's way and recovering from the terrible calamities.
The little Zundapp is reminiscent of a Honda S90 that a friend used to let me ride back in high school during the 60s, for a two-wheel junkie popping for lunch or filling the gas tank did not detract from the exhilarating fun. After all Madison Ave. said, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda."
