Atlas reefer disassembly
Posted by SouthPenn on Sunday, July 30, 2017 10:02 AM

Is there a way to remove the body from the frame of Atlas master line reefers?

I would like to add a little weight but I am stumped trying to remove the body.

Thanks.

I have a couple of these I bought as "undecorated ready to run" in the box.

.

They were "ready to run" in the sense you could take them out of the box and put them on the track and run them, but there were a couple dozen detail parts in the box that needed to be added, and no instructions.

.

So, I had to figure out how to get the floor out. It snaps in VERY tight. I used two small screw drivers, and way too much pressure, to get it out. This is only one of my disapointments with Atlas Master cars. If your car is predecorated and already has all the detail parts installed, you might want to think twice.
