Looks like I am the first one this week, from hot and humid Northeast Ohio!

Got a couple of new cars done this week.

Atlas 1932 AAR Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Greg Komar's decals. Car built in 1937 and repainted into this scheme in 1951.

Kadee 50' PS1 Non Cushioned Boxcar Kit, painted with Scalecoat II SP Daylight Red and lettered with Dan Kohlberg's Decals.  Car was built in 1962 and repainted into this scheme in 1969.

Thanks for looking!

Rick Jesionowski

Rick, the cars look great.  Nice even coats on them

I was able to finish my Ballast car yesterday. My 3D printed ballast grates came in.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway.  As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).

Rick ... This weeks car production is again outstanding with a Seaboard boxcar and a GM&O boxcar.

Jimmy ... The ballast car looks great.

Casey .... Your 2-8-0's look real. Great photo.

Larry ... Looks like there will be ample power for the next outbound freight train.

I am working on scenery for my bridge project. The bridges cross over the main line, go over land, go over water, and go over the mainline again.  There is a short section of track on land after the forst bridge.

The current scenery project is mostly under the bridges and immediately behind them. ... The following photos show the progress over the past couple of weeks.

Remaining work includes trees and so on. Then I will beging scenery in a foreground area to the right of these photos.

Wow! is all I can say looking at your Heartland scenery. Unbelievable detail. All the rest above is great as well. Is there some youtube video of the Heartland layout?

The early Friday morning milk run passes through Engiadina, a fictional stop on the Rhaetian Railway´s Albula line, part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

The train is headed by a BEMO HOm model of the Rhaetian Railway class Ge 4/4 II No. 614 "Schiers" B´B´ electric. This narrow gauge engine runs on 1,000mm track, has a tractive force of 40,240 lbs. and a top speed of 56mph. Rhaetian Railways operate 23 of these handsome engines, built between 1973 and 1984 by SLM Winterthur in Switzerland. They handle both passenger and freight traffic on all lines of the Rhaetian Railway network, except the Bernina Line, which is DC powered.

Rick,

The Orange Blossom Special - a great paint scheme and a great song!

Jimmy,

Convincing work on the ballast hopper!

Larry,

Nice pair of locos!

RDG Casey,

A great action shot!

GARRY,

Beautiful work and scenery!

Ulrich,

The Swiss narrowgauge is exquisite!

A few minor improvements to the Telluride & Tin Cup

A warehouse at Tin Cup.

Some log bunks at the sawmill in Middleton.

The stockyard at Middleton has a single occupant, a Txas longhorn who seems stuck here mainly because "his" horns are too wide to allow him to fit up the ramp...

I lived in Texas when I was young, even took Texas history in the 7th grade. This part about longhorns wasn't explained...an udder?!?

When we began raising goats, I was also under the impression that horns are a male ornament. I was wrong.

The same holds true of other bovidae, including Texas Longhorns!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Longhorn#/media/File:Texas_Longhorn_cow.jpg

Many dairy cows were de-horned until studies through genetics developed polled breeds that were naturally hornless.

I'm a city boy... Lots to learn!

I managed to finish a couple of painting projects this week. This Great Lakes and Eastern gondola car is new. It is a roundhouse car with a cast Chooch tire load. The tire load was repainted because the casting is great, but the Chooch factory paint was awful. It is on Kadee #566 trucks.

.

.

I also finished this Caspar & Silver Creek USRA gondola. I don't normally run empty open cars, but this one had a beautiful laser cut deck. I stained the deck very carefully with multiple built up layers of Citadel Colour washes. I am very happy with the results.

.

.

Maybe I will have some more stuff to post next week.

Hi, Folks!

Thanks for getting things rolling, Rick! You are what I would consider a rolling-stock expert! Fantastic decal work, as usual. Any idea of the count on your freight car roster?

Nice Ballast car, Jimmy. are you going to do a wholle WLE M of W train?

Good to see you here, Brakie! Nice shot of big road power...

Sharp looking Anthracite power there, RDG Casey. The open cab door is a sweet tetail.

Superb work on your bridge scene, Garry. I love lots of bridges! Is that a Micro-Engineering tall steel viaduct? I built one once and it sure took a long time to assemble those towers! Can't wait to see the progress.

I can see why the RhB is your favorite railroad, Ulrich! Beautiful...everything! Scenery, track, locomotives— like a fantasy-come-true! I had some RhB equipment in my LGB days. Very Nice Yes

Your Tin Cup & Telluride is progressing beautifully, Mike! I like your "interpretations" of the on-line industries. It allows the imagination to fill-in the blanks.

The Artitect fork lift is really nice, Peter. I'll have to keep an eye out for one. They sure make great military models.

Good shot of the "Big Four" action, Allan.

Great details on your gons, Kevin. I agree that the Chooch stuff needs some work. A few of their loads weigh a lot, too!

Well, for anyone following along, I believe the Post Office Parcel Post Annex is now in its final "resting place" and I'm sure glad to have it off the workbench!

Another daytime view. Although it looks like all the rooms are lit on the back of the building, that's actually a reflection of light off the aluminum-painted window mullions.

NOW that that elephant is out of the shop I'm getting ready to paint and DCC a nice little PRR B6sb that I've had on the shelf for years!

Great Stuff, everybody!

Have a fun weekend! Ed
