Great Photos, Bear! Thanks for yet another fine episode of WPF!
That track weathering is ideal!
Don't 'ya know I'd love to post some photos here but the Wizards at Photobucket must have tripped on the USB cable again and I can not access the site!
This week my chores were mostly bench related, installing a few sound decoders, stripping paint off a Union Pacific E7B to make it into a Pennsy job and starting on a sweet little Jordan Products 1940's City Bus that I plan to paint in B&O Royal Blue similar to the buses they once used to ferry passengers from Jersey City, NJ into NYC.
Similar to this:

I'll insert photos when the internet gods say I can!
[Edit: Finally!]
And the E7B with a Loksound Select.
Looking forward to some fine "eye candy"!
Regards, Ed
I got the overhead crane building completed and installed on the layout next to the coal tipple

C&O fan, that is Nice!
Well, my major project this week was (finally!!!) putting the correct truck frames on the GP35 High hood. I think it turned out well, but I need to eventually weather and dull down the shine of them.
That was a former Kato Santa Fe low nose unit, that I repainted, installed a high hood kit on, and decaled.
Hopefully my decals from highball come in today, So I can start doing two more Wheeling hoppers (Only problem buying from several locations).
I did some more tree work, but not enough to really make too much of a difference. So let's keep seeing the good stuff.
(My Model Railroad, My Rules)
These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
Good morning from sunny and hot Northeast Ohio!
Bear nice looking ALCO's even if they are SP&S!
Terry, that is one fine coal tipple!
Jimmy, like the conversion of the GP35, I have to change the trucks out on my Ann Arbor GP35 just like yours.
Managed to finish a couple of cars this week, from two different eras.
Intermountain 1937 AAR Boxcar kit with Yarmouth Models Sills Steps in place of the cast plastic ones supplied, painted with Scalecoat II Black and Orange, then lettered with Highball Graphics decals.
62' Eel River RBL, painted with Floquil Reading Green with a few drops of Reefer Yellow Added. Then Decaled with Microscale Decals. MKT used these in Coors and Miller Beer service.
Thanks for looking!

Rule 1: This is my railroad.
Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
Bear,
That's some fine modeling by Nigel and a couple of great pics to illustrate.
Ed,
Pics later, we hope?
Terry,
That's one fine and rustic tipple.
Jimmy,
Good looking loco.
Rick,
That NH scheme is an eye-catcher.
Got a few things done this week. Biggest deal was building my first scratch turnout, a curved right that extends the siding at Crater Lake Junction to 13 carlengths, all the way into Crater Lake itself. This will greatly facilitate running long trains through to Snowden and generally increase operation flexibility.
The division brass grabbed a Goose for an inspection trip after the new turnout was completed. Here it is at Camp 10.

Passing Summit
After arriving at Crater Lake to inspect the new turnout, the Goose has been turned and readied for the return trip.

EVERYWHERE LOST; WE HUSTLE OUR CABOOSE FOR YOU
I'm so tempted to do another High hood "rebuild", of their 107. I posted the photos a couple weeks back, and thankfully got a perfect square shot. I can use that shot to make the decals for it!
Really fine modeling from everyone, again, this week. All Alcos on the head end of this freight passing through the yard.
My scratch built G scale covered bridge for Boothbay Railway Village is complete. It measures 22-1/2" long, 14-1/2" tall at the roof peak, and 11" wide.
The end view. The opening is extra wide due to sharp curves on the approach tracks, and the need for extra clearance for the overhang for our Forney locomotive and passenger cars.
Side view, with an HO scale 40' boxcar to give an idea how large this is.
Now to get it over to Boothbay and get it installed!
George In Midcoast Maine, 'bout halfway up the Rockland branch
Great looking stuff this week, one and all !! Here is a couple cars I finished last week or so...

Bear, Thanks for opening the fun and fine views of the SP&S. During a recent road trip was treated to spectacular views of the mighty Columbia river, lots of interesting barge traffic and the BNSF mainline (formerly SP&S) along the north bank.
Thanks to all and regards, Peter
George ... Bridge looks great.
Tony ... Nice weathering.
Grampy ... Love the Alcos and the realistic track.
Ed .. Glad you added the photos. I'm impressed.
Peter ... I like the barge scene.
.....
Below is my weekend project....
I started with my single span highway bridge made by kit bashing a Campbell kit.
I changed it to a two span brdge using extra Atlas trusses.
Reason for the project:... I salvaged the Campbell trusses which will soon be used for a bridge project I will be working on. It will be a railroad bridge again.
Before ....
After:
My wife and I came up to Silverton last Saturday and rode the Durango Railroad Historical Society excursion of the 315 from Silverton to Elk Park and return. Since the last of the D&S trains departed Silverton, we had the line to ourselves and got to do three photo run byes.
