MRC powerpacks, in my humble opinion, are "Top Notch". To me they're just like a Toyota....take care of them and they last.......and last............and last............

Wow, I had no idea that there were that many companies making powerpacks. But then again, I've never had any need or desire to look at anything other than an MRC.

I must say that the MRC Tech 4 260 model is the top of the line...the brake and momentum feature are just what is needed for true to scale operation...no jerky starts...just smooth, slow speed, starts and an all around very nice throttle...Chuck

There are also a few small companies providing power packs and throttles, I have a GML hand held throttle with momentum, braking and memory which has been a great little unit. www.theGMLenterprises.com

MRC is best for DC. Digitrax is best for DCC.
