For the best track cleaning cars available right now, go to www.aztectrains.com and check out what they have to offer.
Whatever you do, stay away from Goo Gone to clean track!!!

I did own the centerline and traded up the Tony's clean machine. I no longer employ Tony since
I do it by hand with MAAS metal polish cleaner for $3.50. Thank you MR, Jan 03 and I was able
to buy a loco with the sale proceeds..

Tony is darn good, but pricey.

please tell us what problems you have had with goo gone.It seems that many of us use it and personaly I've been using it for about 5-7 years, without any problems [that I know of]
I'm always willing to learn.Especially about modeling and finding better ways to do something or a reason not to do something
Thanks,Mike B.

Goo Gone is in my arsenal of liquid cleaning products, from rubbing alcohol to the $Pricey Act but
the MAAS paste works best for me including loco wheels.

The Axtec Trains cleaning cars look great, but pricey. Guess I'll have to stay with my arsenal of chemicals and a little elbow grease. [:D]

I have one of the original centerline track cleaning cars and it works great. I may buy another one so I can run 1 wet and 1 dry at the same time.

Maybe that is the reason why you have to keep cleaning the track! If you have to keep cleaning the track then the Goo-Gone or what ever, must not be doing the job of keeping the track clean.

I have changed over to Metal polish and now do not have to clean the rails and engine wheels for a year at a time. So it must be working.

If you like to run the track cleaning car instead of your layout then keep on using Goo-Gone. If you would just like to run your layout use the metal polish and have fun running your layout!!!!

Check out www.walthers.com
They have them as well.

The best item I have found for cleaning track among all of the products others have listed is a product called NEVR-DULL. It comes in a can and is product-impregenated pieces of cloth that not only clean, but prevent buildup of dirt and oxidation.

That too is also in my arsenal of cleaning products but I never used it. According to the can, removes rust & corrosion instantly besides polishing
IMO, there's nothing better on my layout than MAAS.

I would say my centerline car and goo gone work quite well since layout is in family room and only clean tracks once a year.
