Good Morning!

For whatever reason, I did not catch much sleep last night. Maybe my visit to Miniatur Wunderland was already over the limit for me. I think I will take a midday nap today.

"Ja Bear"wrote: One of the advantages of living where people rust instead of tanning [swg], being able to visit Miniatur Wunderland...

Bear - yes that may be an advantage. OTOH, a trip to all those railroads I´d like to visit, like those narrow gauge lines in the East, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR, the Durango & Silverton RR, and others, is out of question. Aside from Miniatur Wunderland, Hamburg is certainly one of the nicest cities in the world to live. It has more bridges than Venice, a huge lake right in the heart of the city, a bustling port, beautiful residential areas (requiring quite a lot of change in your pocket), a fascinating and utterly well functioning public transport system, dozens of great museums and lots of green. In fact, Hamburg is so green, that you hardly see it when approaching it by plane. A fresh breeze from the sea keeps the air clean, there is no smog, and the lack of high rise buildings give it a fin de siecle charme. Worth a visit!

I´ll be doing some more landscaping today, cut & fit those Styrofoam inserts for embankment. It´s a bit of a tedious task, involving an ugly smell from that glue I use to fasten the stuff. It´s solvent free, but still stinks like (beep, expletive, deleted)!

Make it a great day!

Edit: I have made up my mind - I´ll be ordering the 4-4-0 in the outside frame version, providing the bargain is still available ...

Edit #2 - the bargain was still available - just ordered this one:
