Simply a post saying "I am looking for this engine in HO scale", or "I have a C & O caboose that I don't use, anyone interested in it?" Sometimes people will not "find" an item they are looking for but someone might just happen to have it and would be willing to part with it. I have received an email because of this thread asking if I had "such and such". I didn't have it, but now I know someone is interested in it and should I see it somewhere I can email the person and tell him. This is intended simply to help forum members. That is all, it is NOT intended to be an ad or replace an ad. Many forums members wouldn't even do an ad, they would just throw the item away, and this is intended to help people find items they want but might be discountinued and hard to find.
