Galloping Goose Scratch building
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 28, 2004 8:30 AM
I am already a modeller of Colorado Narrow gauge for many years and actual (still) building the San Juan as decribed in 1984/5 by Malcolm Furlow in the MRR.

I have currently a Shay, and a Consolidation both MDC and a Boxcab from Grand line. All recently equipped with a can motor and flighwheel.
Running smoothly.[:)]

But I just miss a typical Gallooping goose.[:(]

I am now looking for drawings to buildt one of my own in H0n3.
As far as I knew they were all different and now official drawing are available.

But, is there any model drawing available somewere or any article in a magazine which might be helpfull building one of my own.

Looking forwards to any reply.

I suspect the Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette probably has printed plans for the Geese, I don't recall. You can check though MR's magazine index to find out.

Did you know that ConCor has produced a Goose in HO and HOn3 scale? It is even available with DCC sound. Might be worth a look.

Thank's Bob,
Yes I know it , and it is not so expensive too, but it is a challange to built one of my own.

I have all the MRR since 1978 but never find a drawing of the Goose.

Martin.
