How to replace gear on Walthers 90' turntable??????????????

The gear that runs on the pit bed was damaged (before I got it). It runs OK but jerks a bit now and then. I got a gear for replacement off a 130' turntable bridge (saved a bunch of other parts too) that I got along with a 90' bridge for $20 out the door. The 90' bridge I got runs perfectly but needs some work cosmeticaly, so I have a backup. The trouble is the way the bridge is constructed you have to pry the gear with its bushing out. So the question is, am I missing something, like is there an easy way to get the gear out, afraid the side of the bridge with the bushing will break.

The gear is press fit onto the shaft. However, if someone glue it, you may not be able to get it off. I used a silicon chalking type adhesive on mine. That way I could remove it if necessary.

The gear came right out, it is on a shaft between a movable wall and a fixed wall where the bushing is. It is possible that it is a press fit when assembled, if so, bad design but then I guess that never expected the gear to get damaged, don't know how it did as I got the TT second hand, only thing wrong was this, which I can live with if I have to.
