Has anyone made their own Soo Line lettering decals with a particular font that closely matches? If so, which one- it would save me some time beyond the 2 hrs already spent researching online!

I dont know much about the SOO line's. All I have is this poster from the Durand Union Station in Durand, MI. They hade a big cart full and she said that people donate them too them and they give them away for FREE!!!
You could make your own in Inkscape. Take an image like the one below and load it into Inkscape as a reference. Then just draw over it in a new layer.

Why not just use Microscale decals? They have several different sets and fonts.

Or for that matter, why not contact the Soo Line Historical and Technical Society? They might know.

Perhaps they are not adequately accurate.

I've done over 20 SOO Line engines and a few freight cars and I have found the MS decals to be quite accurate, but the OP may be doing something besides locos and freight cars he didn't say.
